Designer's Table Online: Draw your Work From Home Space

Enjoy a morning of interior design drawing, learning how to design and plan your own home office or work area.

Grab your drawing kit and a cuppa and join our virtual Designer's Table as we explore drawing as a way to make design decisions when updating a room in your home. Whether you are planning a home office, a garden studio or a multi-functional work space, this workshop will be helpful to you!

Tickets £45 - book here.

In this online workshop Audrey will:

  • get you started with some traditional space planning techniques using graph paper and scale rulers so you can experiment with layout options (you will be sent a link to the stationary you need before the workshop)

  • show you some simple ways to create quick and easy concept sketches from your technical drawing so that you can test out your ideas on paper

  • talk through types of furniture, lighting and home accessories relevant to home work spaces and the ergonomics and dimensions required to create a functional and productive space to work in

  • help you discover the advantages of sketching as a means to think through your ideas and communicate them effectively with other decision makers

  • help you find your drawing style and develop more confidence and skill in this area

  • answer any questions you may have and give you some tips and advice specific to your project

Have your room measurements to hand and you can use these as the basis for your drawings. Full details of what's required will be emailed to you in advance of the class.

You will finish the session with a sketch floorplan and wall elevations of the room or area and the vision to progress your project to the next level.

Numbers for this workshop are limited to 6 people.

The event will take place via Zoom. Once you have booked your ticket, you will receive the invitation link.
