Hello 2018! We thought we would start off the year with a blog post explaining more about the services we offer and how we aim to help our clients by addressing specific issues they may be having difficulty with when it comes to interior design, including:
- space planning & 3D visuals
- design ideas
- sourcing / source & supply
- colour palette
- curtains & blinds
- bespoke furniture & technical drawings
- obtaining quotes & project management
space planning & 3D visuals
A crucial step in getting the circulation and mood of your space right. We measure up the rooms you need help with and draw up various furniture layout options in order to find the right fit for you.
We can also draw up your project in 3D to help visualise design ideas & options.
Setting the tone: think of a stately home and a minimalist apartment, both wildly different in appearance yet each carefully thought out; every colour, surface material and item of furniture having been meticulously considered beforehand.
We let you guide us by questioning you about your likes, dislikes & a wish list for each room which we interpret into a mood board and selection of surface materials and colour scheme options.
sourcing / source & supply
Are you are full to the brim with ideas and inspiration but don’t know how to turn these into reality? Whether you have already worked with us at the design ideas phase or are coming to us with your own ideas or moodboard (lots of our clients love Pinterest boards), we are able to deconstruct inspirational ideas into a product moodboard, with links to supplier details.
If you are happy to do the ordering and arrange deliveries yourself, we can provide you with supplier details for each item.
If you are pressed for time, we can take this off your hands by placing orders on your behalf. We ensure each item is correctly specified, and schedule deliveries to suit – making sure we are around to receive them if you won’t be home.
We are constantly reacting to colour which often affects us on a subconscious level – we may feel colder in a stark white room whilst picking up blocks of colour in the corner of our eye may help us navigate and delineate spaces. We meet you in situ and advise on a colour palette to create the desired atmosphere. We follow up our consultation with a colour scheme report and swatches detailing paint references and finishes ready for you to carry out your decorating job.
curtains & blinds
As much as we love large expanses of glass overlooking city life or lush gardens, come nightfall, all glass turns a cold black. Dressing your windows or glass doors can add warmth and texture to your room. However, the world of window treatments is particularly technical and can be challenging to specify. Pinch pleat or pencil pleat? Track or pole? Interlined or blackout? Voile or sheer blind?
We meet you in situ, learn about your requirements, offer suggestions of fabric and advise on types of window treatments. We are then able to get your bespoke window treatments specified (such as bay window tracks, ensure the right amount of fabric is ordered for the fullness and heading type required, liaise with our curtain/blind makers & organise for our expert curtain/blind fitters to install your new window treatments).

bespoke furniture & technical drawings
When the need arises, we relish the opportunity to design bespoke furniture within our projects. We work with a range of makers and due to Audrey’s background in Furniture Design, we produce our own detailed manufacturing drawings in-house, so we can tailor the items to your exact needs. Our most popular bespoke items are dining benches with intergrated storage, custom made wall shelving units and built-in alcove cabinets and shelving.

obtaining quotes & project management
We consider obtaining detailed costings with a clear specification of works in place to be an essential part of any project. We have a number of tradespeople, contractors and specialist suppliers we work with on a regular basis. When we oversee the implementation of a project, we are in daily contact with the contractors on site and we organise and schedule deliveries to meet with the timeline of the work being carried out.
