Surrounded by our collection of vintage and contemporary furniture and home accessories, interior designer Audrey Whelan will answer your interior design dilemmas and introduce you to drawing as a way to make design decisions when updating a room in your home. Whether it’s a living area, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, home office or playroom you are planning, this masterclass will be helpful to you!
In this masterclass Audrey will:
get you started with some traditional space planning techniques using graph paper and scale rulers so you can experiment with your room layout options
show you some simple ways to create quick and easy concept sketches from your technical drawing so that you can test out your ideas on paper
help you discover the advantages of sketching as a means to think through your ideas and communicate them effectively with other decision makers
help you find your drawing style and develop more confidence and skill in this area
answer any questions you may have and give you some tips and advice specific to your project
Have your room measurements to hand and you can use these as the basis for your drawings. And some photographs to show us too - the more information you can provide about your space the more beneficial this masterclass will be!
You will finish the session with a sketch floorplan and wall elevation of the room and the vision to progress your project to the next level.

About Audrey Whelan
Since setting up her interior design studio in London 14 years ago, Audrey has worked with over 280 homeowners at various stages of their projects. She runs individual and group workshops for homeowners and interior designers new to the industry. By inviting you in on her process, she can show you how she works as an interior designer and you can apply this way of working to your own home or professional project.
