Colour of the Year 2022, from Dulux to Pantone - Podcast Show Notes S6 E2

Deirdre and I have had lots of fun discussing Colours of the Year in this episode of The DnA of Home Interiors Podcast. We share our opinions and advice on warming things up, cooling things down, where we would and wouldn’t use some of these colours and the concepts behind them.

We cover the following:

Dulux Colour of the Year 2022: Bright Skies

An airy light blue that perfectly captures this hopeful mood of the moment, all signs point to new beginnings and a breath of fresh air.

Other Dulux colours we mention are Brave Ground (Dulux Colour of the Year 2021) and Clouded Pearl 1 - the colour I have used and loved for some colour blocking in my previous kitchen.

Benjamin Moore Colour of the Year 2021: Aegean Teal

A blend of blue-green and gray, Aegean Teal 2136-40 is an intriguing midtone that creates natural harmony.

Pantone Colour of the Year 2021: PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating

A marriage of colour conveying a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting.

Farrow & Ball Colours of the Year 2022: Babouche, School House White, Breakfast Room Green, Stone Blue, Incarnadine

Inspired by folk tradition and craftsmanship, the shades were chosen by Joa Studholme, Farrow & Ball's colour curator, to evoke "the virtues of a simple life." The playful assortment includes elevated versions of classic primary colors, a cheerful shade of green, and a warm, grounding white.
