We wanted to update our website with a new look and improve the way in which people navigate our website so for the past few months, we’ve been designing, tweaking and testing our new interior design website which we hope you like.

This refurbishment project in Hampstead produced some dramatic before and after photos which we thought we’d share below. Our brief for this Victorian terraced house was to improve the dynamic between the kitchen and the dining space, re-instate period features and update the furniture and colour scheme throughout the ground floor. Deirdre and I recorded this episode of The DnA of Home Interiors in my house (before Covid-19 restrictions). A two-story Victorian end of terrace house in Holloway.

A huge percentage of my interior design project work over the years has been in Victorian, Edwardian and around London, and some Georgian. It’s a subject that I am very passionate about. Not only that, but I have lived in period homes in London since 2002, including conversion flats, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. (And it also means I have experienced the draughty windows, high ceiling decorating challenges etc first hand, as well as the benefits!)

Gifted Local is a new online business set up by local entrepreneur Helen Robinson.

Last year I noticed quite a few people attended my interior design workshops as a gift - someone else had bought them a ticket for their birthday or a special occasion.
